John, DC’s Festival Te Deum was premiered in NYC @ Carnegie Hall last year. I recall this was the performance he’d offered us to go to NYC and participate in after we were in Chicago for ACDA. Don’t recall the exact date (and don’t want to cheat and Google it) though.

I have two people who have answered, neither with the correct answer. Anyone else want to try?

From David Childs’ biography posted on the Vox Humana website: “In March 2011, he…conducted a world premiere of his Festival Te Deum…which was…performed in Carnegie Hall.” I am sure David is as anxious as the Bass IIs to learn the correct answer.

I have an e-mail from David with a different year. I’ll find out from him which is the correct date. If it is 2011, Mike answered correctly before you did. If it is another year, you’re both still wrong. More to follow.

I have e-mailed David to referee this growing conflict. More to follow.
